Product Precautions
Since Nume leather is a natural material, the color density may vary slightly depending on the leather. Please note that the actual product may differ from the photo.
As natural leather is used, natural characteristics such as original animal scratches, wrinkles, traces of blood vessels and pores, uneven grain, and color variations may appear. Please understand this as a characteristic of the material.
If it gets wet, quickly wipe off moisture with a dry cloth and air dry in the shade.
Store in a well-ventilated place, avoiding high temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight, such as inside a car in summer.
Product Maintenance and Care
While the leather contains sufficient oil shortly after purchase, it will gradually dry out with use. Therefore, depending on how it's used, we recommend regularly applying commercially available mink oil for leather after about three to six months. This will prevent dryness, help prevent cracking of the leather, and prolong its lifespan.
WARRANTY
1-Year Warranty
A one-year repair warranty is included from the date of purchase. Please keep the warranty card, which includes the shipping date, enclosed with your product. For repairs within one year, we will cover the shipping costs. The warranty covers issues such as frayed stitching, broken buttons or rivets, and zipper malfunctions. Please note that changes to the leather itself are not covered by the warranty. For repairs after one year, shipping costs will be borne by the customer. Repair fees vary depending on the nature of the repair, so please inquire via the contact form.

ABOUT LENY
What is natural leather?
It is said that approximately 85% of leather products currently on the market are chrome-tanned using chemicals, while the remaining 15% are vegetable-tanned, using natural ingredients extracted from plants. Among these, LENY handles full vegetable-tanned leather made using the pit tanning method, which is employed by only three companies in Japan. Tanning in a pit allows the tannin to slowly penetrate deep into the fibers without damaging the leather until the very end. It takes approximately two months for the leather to be completed, requiring a great deal of time and cost. However, this process results in durable, long-lasting, natural leather that develops a beautiful patina.
Japanese leather, crafted with time and effort, possesses the warmth of life and the skill of artisans, resulting in a quality that can be proudly presented to the world.
It is not an item to be discarded due to fleeting trends, but a tool whose scratches even transform into memories.
We want to protect the joy of nurturing, which can never be experienced with inexpensive mass-produced goods, together with Japanese tanners.
We propose a time that allows you to engrave long, deep moments together.
Why sustainable?
Leather products are made from the hides of animals raised for meat, utilizing a byproduct of the meat industry. Therefore, animals are not harvested solely for their hides to make leather products. As long as people consume meat, hides will continue to be produced, and we utilize them in leather products to avoid waste. This is an eco-friendly and sustainable practice that has continued for a very long time. Additionally, repeatedly replacing short-lived items in a short timeframe places a burden on the environment during both production and disposal. In contrast, natural leather products are durable and long-lasting. In the long run, leather is an environmentally friendly and very ecological material.
Leather care
Vegetable-tanned leather is a natural material that changes in color and texture the more you use it. Initially a light beige, it gradually transforms into a deeper, richer amber color with increased luster due to sunlight exposure and the oils from your hands. The beauty of vegetable-tanned leather lies in how it evolves and perfects as you use it.
Craftsmanship
HISTORY
Having worked in the leather industry for a long time, I've always wanted to promote natural leather in people's daily lives and contribute to a sustainable future by selling products made with the best materials and techniques at fair prices. Furthermore, 80% of leather products in Japan are currently imported, and domestic production has declined to one-fifth of its peak. The Japanese leather industry is currently dominated by inexpensive Chinese products and high-end European brands with long traditions. While Japanese products, including those from tanneries, boast extremely high quality and technology, they haven't permeated the general consumer market. With an aging workforce, many businesses are closing down. This has led me to feel a strong sense of urgency to preserve Japan's traditional leather industry for future generations. I want to genuinely deliver high-quality products. With this sentiment, I launched LENY. I am committed to contributing to the development of the entire leather industry.
